Service Manager

Location Gunnedah
Job Information

Peel Valley Machinery have been John Deere dealers for 53 years. We operate exclusively throughout the greater Namoi Valley, and our priority is to provide professional and proactive support for John Deere machinery purchased by local customers in this valley. Our Gunnedah Branch’s customer base is the Liverpool Plains, a world recognised prime agricultural region.

We do not have a multitude of minor franchises, which allows our staff to focus on supporting John Deere agricultural products, and develop strong relationships with our customers.

John Deere produces premium agricultural machinery, using leading edge “Green on Green” technology, borne out of John Deere’s relentless and significant reinvestment in Research and Development. Our employees are challenged with keeping up with technology, but our priority is for them to recognise the practical and repeatable application of technology for us and our customers’ benefit. We encourage all employees to have an ongoing thirst for product knowledge, and utilise the technology built into John Deere products. Peel Valley Machinery currently have 2 dedicated staff training centres, with another soon to be developed in Gunnedah in a greenfield dealership site.

Applicants must understand the seasonal nature of our business, but also value working for a company that understands the rural and regional lifestyle, and family commitments.

We have an outstanding opportunity for a Service Manager to lead our Gunnedah Service department. The Gunnedah Service team is fully equipped and staffed. The Service Manager will report directly to the Gunnedah Branch Manager – who is one of the Directors of Peel Valley Machinery. The successful applicant will be responsible for the day to day deployment of the Service team and the strategic planning for this dynamic department.
