Peel Valley Machinery have been John Deere dealers for 54 years. We operate exclusively throughout the greater Namoi Valley, and our priority is to provide professional and proactive support for John Deere machinery in this valley, purchased by local customers. Our Gunnedah Branch’s customer base is the Liverpool Plains, a world recognised prime agricultural region, with a diverse mixture of dryland and irrigated farming, livestock, as well as lifestyle and residential markets.

John Deere produces premium agricultural machinery, using leading edge “Green on Green” technology, borne out of John Deere’s relentless and significant reinvestment in Research and Development. Our employees are challenged with keeping up with technology, but our priority is for them to recognise the practical and repeatable application of technology for us and our customers benefit. We encourage all employees to have an ongoing thirst for product knowledge, and utilise the technology built into John Deere products. Peel Valley Machinery currently have 2 dedicated staff training centres, with another soon to be developed in Gunnedah in a greenfield dealership site.

We deliberately do not have a multitude of minor franchises, which allows our staff to focus on supporting John Deere agricultural products and to develop strong relationships with our supplier, and rewarding relationships with our customers.

We have an exciting vacancy at our busy Gunnedah dealership for a Branch Spare Parts Manager. This is a hands on manager’s role, responsible for leading the Branch Parts Team in a dynamic machinery dealership environment.  Our Branch Spare Parts team provide spare parts support for our customers, as well as our own substantial Service Department. We are looking for a team leader,  with a strong work ethic, who is flexible enough to provide consistent value in a seasonal business.

Requirements for this role includes:

  • Established experience as a Parts Manager in an agricultural machinery dealership
  • Extensive Spare Parts experience
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Understanding of WHS compliance and general business practice compliance
  • Proven Team Leader who values, respects, develops and encourages their team members
  • Competent with IT, and willing to embrace technology and continuous learning.
  • Forklift license would be an advantage

Remuneration is directly linked to skill level, experience and performance.
